Arvind was born and trained in India. He is an architect by profession and came to Canada on a Commonwealth Scholarship in 1966 for a Master's Degree in Urban Design. He has been a Canadian citizen for the last 35 years. He attended Banff School of Fine Arts in Alberta where he studied Watercolour and Oil Painting. He conducted Pen & Ink sketching classes at Ryerson Polytechnical Institute in Toronto for four years in the Seventies. Arvind was awarded an Honourable Mention in the Canadian Fine Arts Competition in 1993.
